corporate film without the corporate voice
Films for businesses and brands that
have something worth saying.
What do you want your video to do?
That's usually where I start.
Maybe you need to explain something complicated. Maybe you want people to understand what makes your business different. Maybe you need a presenter who doesn’t look like they’ve been kidnapped by the marketing department.
Whatever the job, I’ll help work out the idea, make the film and think about where it’s going to be seen.
CONTENT
Not everything needs to be a big film.
Sometimes you need a polished brand film. Sometimes you need a series of shorter videos. Sometimes you need something you can keep feeding into YouTube and social for months.
I can help work out what’s worth making, then write, direct, shoot and edit it.
PRESENTING
Sometimes I get in front of the camera too.
I’ve spent plenty of time presenting, so I’m comfortable helping people who haven't.
I can present your content myself, or work with your people to make sure they look and sound natural on camera. No corporate hostage video required.
LONG TERM CONTENT
One video is rarely the end of a story.
I work with some businesses on an ongoing basis, creating content as they need it rather than starting from scratch every time.
That means getting to know the business, understanding the audience and gradually figuring out what works. Which is usually a lot more useful than making one expensive film and then wondering what to do next.
SOME REAL LIFE EXAMPLES
Barefoot Junkie
Trust is a pretty good brief
I’ve worked with Barefoot Junkie for around eight years, managing their YouTube channel and creating their video content.
I write, direct and shoot the videos, often represent the brand on camera, and have the freedom to decide what’s worth making. They give me the brief and trust me to figure out the rest.
Alphagenix
Sometimes the first job is getting comfortable on camera.
I started working with Alphagenix by coaching their CEO, Ross Tomkins, to become a more confident presenter.
Once he was comfortable in front of the camera, I went on to produce a series of videos for the brand.
It’s a nice example of how the different bits of what I do can work together.
Sometimes you need a filmmaker. Sometimes you need a coach. Sometimes you need both.
